The heart behind Christmas on the Farm 2025
The Story Behind Christmas on the Farm
A Tradition Rooted in Family, Community, and the True Spirit of Christmas
Christmas on the Farm began long before the lights, the snow, and the Grinch ever showed up. It began with a simple idea in 2016 when Stefan and Shelby from You Farm created a small Christmas event on their Loxahatchee farm. It was designed to bring families together, give kids a place to run and laugh, bring the community closer, and remind everyone of the meaning of Christmas in a warm, hands on, down to earth way.
That first year, children met Santa, drank hot cocoa by a fire, pet the animals, rode hayrides, and created memories their parents still talk about today. Nobody knew then that it would grow into one of the most beloved family Christmas traditions in the area. But the moment we saw children dancing in the snow and parents tearing up behind their phones as they snapped photos, we knew this was something special.
Over the years the event grew, and so did the story behind it. Kids who were three years old when they first came are now six and seven, excitedly rushing through the gates each December to recreate the same photos in the same spots. Parents tell us every year that this is the one holiday event their family will never miss. And that is something we never take for granted.
A New Home in Jupiter, Florida
In 2023, Christmas on the Farm found its new home at Kings Stables Farm in beautiful Jupiter, Florida. Roger and Miriam, owners of the farm, instantly connected with the heart and purpose behind the event. Their land, lined with mature trees, open pastures, and stables filled with love for the animals, was exactly the kind of place Christmas on the Farm was always meant to grow into.
The partnership between Kings Stables Farm and You Farm Co brought together two families with the same heartbeat for tradition, community, and creating unforgettable childhood memories. It could not have been a more perfect match.
Since then, families have driven from all over South Florida to Jupiter Farms for this event. Some dress warm, some arrive in shorts, but every family shows up ready to laugh, explore, take photos, and enjoy an evening that feels like stepping inside a living Christmas story.
A Fully Interactive Christmas Adventure
Christmas on the Farm is not a walk through event. It is not a staged show. It is an interactive, moving, living Christmas story that unfolds all evening long. Guests are part of the adventure from the moment they arrive.
The night starts with the DJ and farmer hosts welcoming everyone, warming up the crowd with dancing, singing, and fun while the farm games open and families explore the holiday photo spots. Pony rides are available. Vendors serve amazing food. The farm animals greet everyone at the front of the barn. The kids begin using up that early excitement so they are ready for the big moment.
By 5:45 PM families gather on the great lawn for the Lighting of the Farm Ceremony. The music shifts. The countdown begins. Children shout numbers with huge smiles. And when the farm lights up with thousands of lights and the first snow of the evening starts falling, the entire crowd lights up with it. For many families this is the moment they come for every year.
As the celebration begins, Santa and Mrs Claus arrive from the main barn after parking their reindeer in the stables. They join the crowd on the great lawn with dancing and singing before making their way to the photo area where families line up for beautiful Christmas portraits.
Then the story continues. On select nights Cindy Lou Who arrives at 6:15 PM, full of joy and Christmas spirit, determined to help us stop the Grinch from ruining Christmas. The Grinch then shows up at 6:30 PM ready to cause trouble. He turns off lights. He sneaks into fire pits. He photo bombs. He jumps onto hayrides. And every time he does, the families help bring Christmas spirit back by singing louder, dancing harder, and showering him with love and laughter.
Cindy Lou Who joins the mission. Through the joy of the children and the fun of the evening, we start to see the Grinch soften and change. But he still needs help, and that is where our guests truly shine.
Families help protect the lights. They dance with the Grinch. They take photos with him. They ride with him on the hayrides. And by the time story time begins under the large oak tree, Santa and Mrs Claus help guide the Grinch toward understanding the true meaning of Christmas.
The Most Meaningful Moment of the Night
As the night winds down, families gather one more time for Silent Night. The entire farm becomes still. The lights turn off. The stars shine overhead. Santa, Mrs Claus, the Grinch, Cindy Lou Who, and the live nativity come together as one. Guests sing Silent Night as snow begins to fall. It is peaceful. It is beautiful. It is the heart of the event.
The live nativity then processes down from the barn as the lights slowly come back on. Children watch in awe. Parents hold their kids close. And for a brief moment the whole farm is reminded of the true joy of Christmas.
Tradition Lives Here
Christmas on the Farm has become a tradition because it is made of moments that matter.
Moments where kids can be kids.
Moments where parents get to slow down.
Moments where families reconnect.
Moments where laughter replaces stress and memories replace rush.
This is why we do this every year. This is why we prepare months in advance. This is why we work so hard to make it special.
Because families deserve a place where Christmas feels alive. And we are honored to host it with you.
